NFL Flag Football League

Our mission is to empower youth athletes and instill a lifelong passion for flag football through leagues that are engaging, fun, and accessible for everyone. With the support of the NFL, They provide a structural opportunity for youth to discover the importance of sportsmanship, teamwork and friendship on and off the field.
 
Jeffrey Harvey & Levi Canada Memorial Basketball League

As a Memorial to Levi Canada and Jeffrey Harvey, we created a basketball league in their honor Mentoring Through Athletics develops young aspiring basketball players on and off the court. We take the principles of basketball fundamentals and pair them with our core values of Discipline, Accountability, Responsibility and Endurance.

From Boys To Men & Elders

The Identified risk factor relating to most of the young men, teens, young adults, men as well as elders in our community did not have a positive male role model during early formation of physical and emotional development. The hypothesis was the absence of a strong man in the home or lack thereof could be resolved to a degree by addressing those risk factors that lead to identified adolescent problem behaviors. Preventing those behaviors through desired outcomes that establish a core set of values and standards not consistent with a ever changing society. Such as community laws and norms, the acceptance of drugs and violence.

Summer Camp

Nelson Rec. Summer Camp is a supervised, outdoor program designed for children and teens during the summer months, offering a variety of recreational activities, skill development opportunities, and a chance to build friendships in a supportive environment, often including swimming, sports, arts and crafts, camp songs, and other nature-based experiences, all while fostering personal growth and independence. Our experienced staff is dedicated to fostering a supportive community where kids can build confidence, develop new skills, and make lasting friendships.
